Is earnie™ a bank?

As a financial technology company, earnie™ is not a bank, but it offers banking products and services through our banking partner in the United States, a member of the FDIC, and a banking partner in the Philippines, a member of the PDIC.

What do I need to open an earnie™ account?

We’ll need you to provide your personal information (full legal name, mobile number, email, residential address, date of birth) plus your valid Philippine passport for identity verification. That’s it!And after linking your bank account, you can start sending out invoices right away!

What products and services does earnie™ provide?

earnie™ is a digital financial service that lets you earn and spend your money remotely.

With earnie™, you can easily create invoices in USD and share them with your client or employer through a unique payment link. They can then use this Pay-Me Link to remit your earnings straight to your PH bank account.

And soon, you’ll also be able to open a U.S.-based bank account through earnie™! This will allow you to receive money from U.S. employers and clients, as well as send and spend these funds remotely.

Can anyone use earnie™?

At the moment, earnie™ is only available to Filipino citizens, but we’re working really hard to expand our service to other markets.

How do I install the earnie™ mobile app?

We’re still working on our mobile app, but you can already send and receive money through earnie™ by visiting app.earnie.us on your web browser.

Add a shortcut to the earnie™ website on your phone’s home screen for quick and easy access.
For iPhone users:
Visit app.earnie.us on Safari.
Tap the Share icon at the bottom of the screen.
Scroll through the list of options and click Add to Home Screen.
Tap Add in the upper right corner of the popup menu.

For Android users:
Visit app.earnie.us on your web browser.
Tap the hamburger or kebab menu button of your browser.
Tap Add page to.
Select Home screen.

How do I contact customer service?

I forgot my PIN. What should I do?

To create a new PIN, follow these steps:
1. Enter the mobile number connected to your earnie™ account.
2. On the next screen, click I forgot my PIN.
3. Wait to receive a verification code via email.
Note: The verification OTP will be sent via SMS if you haven’t verified your email yet
4. Enter the verification code on the web app.
5. Create your new PIN.
6. Confirm your new PIN.

I still haven’t received an OTP. What should I do?

Just click “Resend code.” Make sure that the mobile number you provided is correct and that you’re connected to the internet.If you’re still not receiving an OTP, please contact support at +1888-599-7280.

I can’t seem to log into my earnie™ account. What should I do?

If you’re having trouble logging into the app, you may need to clear your cache.

For Android users:
1. Go to Settings.
2. Select Apps.
3. Scroll down and select  earnie™.
4. Select Storage.
5. Tap the Clear cache button.

For iPhone users:
1. Go to Settings.
2. Scroll down and select Safari.
3. Tap Clear History and Website Data.

If you’ve already performed these clear-cache steps and still can’t log in, it might be due to device compatibility issues, using an out-of-date app version, or ongoing system maintenance. Please contact support at +1888-599-7280.

How do I change my PIN?

1. On the log-in page, enter the mobile number connected to your earnie™ account.
2. On the next screen, click “I forgot my PIN.”
3. Wait to receive a verification code.
4. Enter the verification code on the web app.
5. Create your new PIN.
6. Confirm your new PIN.

How do I keep my account safe?

Never share your OTP or earnie™ PIN with anyone, and don't log into your account on a shared device. Report any suspicious activity immediately through chat or our hotline, +1888-599-7280.

How secure are money transfers through earnie™?

Your money and details on earnie™ are protected by bank-level security, thanks to our remittance partner BDO Remit (USA) Inc., an international arm of BDO Unibank, Inc., one of the Philippines’ most trusted financial institutions.

Are there more features and services coming soon?

Yes! We will soon launch a premium, paid service that will allow Filipino users to:
- Open a U.S. bank account remotely with just their passport and SSS number (No U.S. visa and flights to the States needed!)
- Invoice a client in USD
- Receive U.S. dollars into their U.S. bank account

I’m from the U.S. Can I sign up for earnie™?

If you’re a U.S. citizen or an individual with a U.S. SSN or ITIN, you can’t open an account, but you can use earnie™ to pay freelancers overseas.

I don’t own a Philippine bank account. Can I still register for earnie™?

Unfortunately, you will need to provide a PH bank account under your name to register for earnie™.

What IDs do you accept?

We only accept valid Philippine passports as ID.

Why do I need to take a selfie during account verification?

We take security very seriously. To prevent fraudulent users, we identify a user’s identity by matching the selfie with the uploaded passport.

How long will it take funds from the U.S. to reach my Philippine bank account?

Most transfers are completed within 24 hours or less, depending on the where the funds are coming from:
- From an earnie™ NRA powered by East West Bank: 12 hours or less
- From an external bank source: 24 hours or less

Note: Depending on banking hours and the chosen transfer method, the availability of funds in your receiver's account may vary. Banking hours exclude weekends and holidays. Transfers may also face delays if additional compliance documents are requested and are undergoing verification. Contact our support team for any issues.

Can I add a Philippine bank account that is not under my name?

No, the Philippine bank account that you will link to earnie™ must be under your name, as registered during the verification process.

I don’t own a BDO account. Can I link an account from another Philippine bank?

How do I create an invoice?

Generating an invoice is easy with earnie™, and you can share it with your client through a unique Pay-Me Link:
1. Click on Generate Pay-Me Link or Get Paid from the navigation bar.
2. Fill in the required personal information, like your preferred Philippine receiving bank account, company details, contact information, tax ID number, and billing address.
3. Fill in the necessary invoice details, like client information, products or services rendered, taxes & fees, dates, and payment terms.
4. After confirming that you have fully delivered the items listed in the invoice, you can share this invoice to your client by generating a Pay-Me Link.

How do I cancel a Pay-Me Link?

There are two ways to cancel an invoice that you’ve already created:

Option 1:
1. On the My Pay-Me Links screen, click on the three dots next to the Pay-Me Link you want to cancel.
2. A pop-up screen will appear where you can select “Cancel this invoice.”
3. After confirming the cancellation, that invoice and its Pay-Me Link will be deleted.

Option 2:
1. Open the Pay-Me Link you want to cancel.
2. Tap on the three dots on the upper right side of the screen.
3. A pop-up screen will appear where you can select “Cancel this invoice.”
4. After confirming the cancellation, that invoice and its Pay-Me Link will be deleted.

How do I send a Pay-Me Link to my client?

There are three ways of sending a Pay-Me Link to your client:
1. Share the Pay-Me Link directly through the earnie™ app.
2. Export your invoice to PDF, and send the document to your client.
3. Copy the Pay-Me Link URL, and share it with your client.

What is a Pay-Me Link?

Pay-Me Links are a simplified way of creating invoices and receiving payments.

When you create an invoice using earnie™, you can send the invoice to your client or employer as a unique Pay-Me Link. Your clients can then use the Pay-Me Link to pay for your invoice in USD, using their credit or debit card. earnie™ will then kick off the remittance process, allowing you to receive your money in PHP into your Philippine bank account.

Thanks to our banking partners, earnie™ Pay-Me Links have lower fees than other options like PayPal.

What modes of payment can my client use with Pay-Me Links?

For now, your clients can use their credit cards or debit cards to pay via Pay-Me Links.

Can I choose to be paid in PHP or USD via the Pay-Me Link?

When using Pay-Me Links, clients (payor) can only pay earnie™ users (payee) in USD.But soon, earnie™ users will have the option to receive funds either in USD into their earnie™ U.S. bank account or in PHP into the Philippine bank account they’ve added to their profile.

Is there a minimum amount that I need to charge per invoice?

Yes, to send out a Pay-Me Link, the minimum amount for an invoice is USD 20.
